Well, we've arrived at the end of another year! Where in the world did the time go? Everyone I talk to feels the same way. Since we're here, it gives us another chance to reflect on where we are and where we're going!
To set the tone for next year, we decided to have throw a Pizza Social for our last network meeting of the year. It was fun and well attended! Our aim was to share with each other networking groups that may be new to us, and sure enough; some knew of groups that others were not aware of. They were interested in expanding their reach to these other groups and introduce their business to a whole new set of faces! What an awesome way to market your business!
We ended the year by sharing our main goal for next year with each other. Sometimes, declaring our goals out loud to a group of fellow business leaders can help to make our goal more real in our own mind, and we're more likely to take it seriously ourselves!

Facebook, Facebook, Facebook ... HELP!
Being on FACEBOOK is a necessity in today's market!
We were privileged to have
Lori Ives-Godwin, creator of Your Community Connector as our speaker at the Charlotte Health & Business Network meeting on Monday, November 8, 2010! She helped us understand how important Facebook has become in marketing our business. She shared specific techniques we can use to enhance our presence on Facebook and other social media. Her topic was "How to Effectively use Facebook (social media)and Online Tools for Your Business"
This is the picture she took of our group! Wish she was in the picture too! We learned how to leverage YouTube and other tools to make our online presence stand out. Lori herself is a mind-body-spirit practicioner, and bridges the gap from the metaphysical side of our lives to the world of business strategies and marketing plans. Her information was valuable to everyone present! We all felt better equipped to use Facebook and other social media in our business, yet were left hungry for more information! There is so much to learn! Lori is a wealth of knowledge and we look forward to hearing from her again!

VIDEO MARKETING: THE NEXT WAVE IN COMMUNICATION!
I have a feeling that video marketing is the way
we all will do business in the very near future!
On Monday, October 25, 2010, Joy Austin from Talk Fusion, gave us a glimpse of the next decade and beyond, by showing us how business is being done by many today, and how it is growing into the way everyone will do business down the road. It is very similar to the way we used to send "snail mail" for everything, and today we send emails! That has been a HUGE shift in business communication. But now, we have become so accustomed to hitting the "delete" button that many emails are not even viewed!
Enter Talk Fusion! Talk Fusion is a system by which the sender actually talks to the recipient on a video as soon as they open their email! Which would you rather do: read text, or watch someone you know talk to you on a video message? Exactly! You are much less likely to hit the "delete" button if you know you're about to watch a video! If you feel that way, you know your clients and prospects do too! Joy is encouraging everyone to step into the future and be ahead of the curve by incorporating Talk Fusion into our email communications now. She makes it possible for anyone to send video emails! It's a really cool concept that's going to make really cool cash for anyone who sells or uses this system!

CHARLOTTE HEALTH & BUSINESS NETWORK!
This networking group is under the umbrella of PNC (Professional Network Connections) a national networking organization. Being part of PNC affords our members tremendous advantages, as we are tapped into a national base of potential contacts and leads! This organization allows individual businesses to have nationwide exposure. How great is that! Our network combines health oriented services along with businesses services to create a great referral base and increase growth. We are excited about this change. Referring business in this environment is very comfortable and profitable!
Don Rosenberg, author of
"Sixty seconds to an UNFORGETTABLE Elevator Speech"
was the first speaker under our new name. Don started his first business in 1979, and grew it into 15 stores and $100 million dollars in sales over 29 years! Everyone learned a lot from his expertise! He showed us how we can make a powerful impression in just 30 - 60 seconds and explain who we are and what we do in a memorable way. If you were there - you now know how to do that! He did a great job and will be back to check on every one's progress. All in attendance learned a lot about how to improve their very important 60 second commercial!
